Amy Pontius

Amy Pontius lives in Petaluma with her husband and two daughters.  She is originally from Southern California but moved to the Bay Area to attend San Francisco State University where she studied and graduated with a degree in Nutrition.   Her husband's job brought them to the North Bay where they have lived for the past 12 years.  After taking some time off to raise her daughters, Amy decided to pursue a certification in Personal Training.  Exercise and nutrition were the key to success when Amy decided to tackle those extra pounds she had put on while raising her kids.  In July of 2014, Amy received her NASM Personal Training Certification.  She has since participated in numerous 5k and 10k races, sprint and Olympic distance triathlons, and half marathon's.  Amy looks forward to sharing her love for fitness and her knowledge in Nutrition with others.  She believes everyone has the ability to achieve a healthy lifestyle.  You just need the motivation and a great support group.
Erin Devincenzi

Erin Devincenzi lives in Petaluma with her husband and their three children. She is a graduate from the University of California Santa Barbara, she taught elementary school for 11 years. Erin worked as the Program Director for Girls on the Run Sonoma County for 6 years. She is a Certified USATriathlon Coach and Certified Personal Trainer. She currently teaches cycle classes in the community, and coaches athletes for running events from a 5K up to marathon distances and from sprint up to full Ironman distance triathlons. She practices what she preaches, she started running after her second child was born and ran her first marathon before her third child. She has completed at least a marathon a year since 2000 and has participated in many triathlons. Her love for endurance sports helped her complete two Ironman Distance Triathlons and several Ultra Marathons. She is excited to share her love and enthusiasm with people of all levels and help them reap the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle!

Sheila Sigarusa

Sheila Sigarusa has been teaching, coaching and participating in sports and fitness all her life.  As a child she participated in synchronized swimming and throughout high school she played and coached basketball and volleyball.  In college she participated in intercollegiate basketball and swimming.  While raising her four children she learned the game of soccer, became a coach, is now a referee and plays in an adult league.  She has also done several triathlons and participated in two half marathons.  Sheila's degree and past work experience are in Recreation and Leisure Studies which blends nicely with her current certification from Santa Rosa Junior College in Health, Fitness and Nutrition.  She is also an AEA water fitness certified instructor and an American Red Cross Lifeguard.  At Riverfront Fitness, Sheila's enthusiasm for fitness is expressed while teaching strength circuits with an emphasis on balance and agility.  She likes to remind her clients of the benefits of keeping our bodies healthy and strong as we live life and partake in "activities of daily living".  Come work out with Sheila on Tuesday mornings!

Melissa McLaughlin

Melissa McLaughlin's passion for movement began in long-distance running where she fell in love with running's rhythmic and meditative quality.  With yoga practice, Melissa discovered she could run smoother, faster and farther and continued to delve into other forms of moving and seated meditation.  After 6 years of yoga practice, she became a yoga teacher in 2014.  In her first yoga training, she became fascinated with human anatomy and biomechanics and went on to earn a certificate in Fitness, Nutrition and Health as well as certification as a Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine.  Melissa believes that exercise is best when shared and loves leading small group fitness training where we can motivate and be inspired by our community.  She enjoys mixing up a variety of healthy activities including running, hiking, yoga, weight training and high intensity workouts to keep her happy, healthy and motivated.  Melissa's training sessions are a combination of cardio, weights, and core strengthen components designed to meet you at your level in a way that feels safe, encouraging and FUN!  Train with Melissa on Tuesday or Thursday evenings.  Learn more about her by visiting her website: www.melissamclyoga.com
